Disinterred Graves in Guatemala

In the cemetery of the city of Guatemala, if debts for the renovation of the site after 6 years are not paid, the skeletons are removed and thrown into a well. According to the rules of the cemetery, six years after the burial, relatives must pay 180 Quetzales, about 16 € to renew the plot for another period of 4 years. After sending a telegram to the family, if payment is not received, cemetery workers destroy the niche, and throw the skeletons in a mass grave.
